Social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and others have almost changed the face of internet and communication forever. These have become almost in inseparable part of our daily lives. These applications add more spices to those sites.

Though it has become quite a few days that the idea of social media and viral marketing has been combined together but still a number of people do not have an idea about the method or the technology which helps them work. A number of people till date consider social media just as an add on while working on a project. First you have to develop a marketing asset then only you can try to put this on the Facebook or other social networking sites. It often comes down to merely developing a bookmark button. Though social media offers a huge scope for spreading marketing messages to a large number of people but this approach has become quite obsolete these days due to some unknown reasons.

Most of all the users expect the application that has been developed and uploaded will work socially and have some capacity to transfer information, collaborate and compare between two users.

Farmville or the Zynga games can be considered as the best examples of such viral applications specially developed for the social networking sites and their users. Social media including these social networking sites is extremely powerful and have the ability to increase the number of seeding up to 1000. It is happening for the first time in the world that an uncountable number of people are available on any mass media with quite a little investment. There can be a lot of things which may be changed in future but till date the success of social media should be dedicated only to those persons who spend lots of their precious times to understand its functionality and built their projects accordingly with proper planning from the first day.
